Lady Patriots of the Eastern Shore
In January 2017 eight women - friends and colleagues – decided they wanted to do something meaningful and rewarding that would involve the recognition of our local veterans and first responders.
Our First Project – An All Terrain Action Wheelchair
The ladies believed these dedicated men and women, who serve us so selflessly, were not being shown grateful appreciation by the very people whom they serve. When considering their first project, a member suggested the purchase of an All Terrain Action Wheelchair. This would provide mobility for the veteran who had lost that function. It was further decided that the recipient of this wheelchair would have it in time to enjoy the October 2018 Hunting Season.
An ambitious project? Yes! But achievable with the dedication and diligence of our committed members.
In an effort to raise the necessary funds ($16,000 for the Action Track Deluxe Model Wheelchair), the women organized the following Fundraisers:
A Raffle for a Crab Feast
A LuLaRoe Women’s Fashion Show with Sian Greenwood
A Raffle for a Thanksgiving Feast
A Seasonal Green Sale 50/50 Cash Raffle
A 31-Fundraiser with Hannah Cawley
A Premier Design Jewelry online fundraiser with Jenny Spencer
These events have proved to be quite successful and have allowed us to introduce our organization to the community. We proudly have the following Signature Sponsors assisting us in our endeavor:
Cheesecake Girls
Crabi Gras
Graul’s Market
Teddy Bear Fresh
We greatly appreciate the generous donations from our Sponsors:

New Project for a Veteran’s Widow
We have also taken on a new project. A deceased veteran’s wife is in need of a new roof for her home. The Lady Patriots have agreed to assist in the cost of the roof replacement.
We’re growing! Come join us!
We are proud to announce that our membership as of January 2018 has grown to 38 members strong!
The Lady Patriots of the Eastern Shore have had a very successful first year - and we could not have accomplished this without the generosity of our community. Thank you!
We look forward to continuing our grateful appreciation for those who protect our country and communities.
